The Quality Squirrel Management Association (QSMA) was created, by our illustrious President, to promote the conservation practices inherent to the pursuit and promotion of hunting of the Trophy Type Buck Squirrel. It is further our goal to change the general and undereducated opinion of the majority of squirrel hunters that any and all squirrels encountered on a hunt should be slaughtered and/or culled before said squirrel's full trophy potential can be realized.
Additionally the QSMA, through the use of the B&S Squirrel Scoring System, will establish and maintain records of trophy squirrels taken by the membership. By using the B&S system and the coronation of a World Record Holder we will promote trophy squirrel hunting and earn the respect, awe, and admiration of those who have not taken a trophy animal.
It is also the policy of the QSMA to introduce various products and officially licenced intellectual property in an attempt to uplift the somewhat lacking levels of knowledge concerning squirrels and squirrel hunting possessed by the average squirrel hunter. As a benefit of membership, we offer these invaluable products and ideas at a discounted rate to those whose dues are current
Bylaws of the QSMA
(1) The decisions of the QSMA President shall be considered final in all questions of B&S score and World Record Squirrel status.
A. The QSMA President will be elected by a general election conducted at regular intervals by the then current membership.
B. These votes may be cast in person or by "proxy" on the date of election. The proxy votes will be compiled and counted after the general election.
C. The QSMA president has the final decision as to validity of proxy votes.
(2) If during any sanctioned QSMA hunt the question of cheating by a member is posed, the opinion of the QSMA President will be final as to who the cheater might be and the winner of said cast.
A. Questioning of the QSMA President's rulings are strictly forbade in public and treated more harshly in private. The QSMA President reserves the right to discharge the person guilty of questioning his (The Prez) authority and declare the questioner's membership void. No monies will be refunded and the questioner's dog may be blackballed from any future hunts even if handled by another member.
B. The QSMA will operate a "clubhouse" at a location deemed suitable by the President. Upkeep of this clubhouse will be the responsibility of the membership. QSMA members are not allowed on club property in groups larger than (2) members without the President present.
C. The QSMA President will, at his discretion, purchase any equipment (with club funds) necessary to keep the grounds of the clubhouse well groomed and appropriately representative of the QSMA standard of excellence. The QSMA President may purchase this equipment from any source he sees fit without BOD input.
